A fun little run cycle I animated a few years ago at the Fox Studios. The concept was very similar to the 3d features a la Shrek, which came out a few years later. We animated a sequence to find out, if we could get a green light to continue production. I believe we even took it all the way to color.
In this scene, the puppet boy (Pinocchio) hops through the forest singing "I am a puppet boy and I am made of wood..." before he will get burned by some evil guys looking for fire wood.
Some nice drawings and I am sure I had a lot of help by some of the other animators who were so much more experienced and better draftsmen than me. Towards the end I ran out of time, so the drawings loose a bit of the construction and appeal.
